Square Enix an Auteur

I believe square enix is an institution that is an auteur because they create the same style throughout their videogames, for example RPG (Role playing game) set in a fantasy world or a completely new world were the player must fight to save the world. because of this and the fact that Square Enix stick mainly to this style makes it an Auteur.

Applying the Auteur Theory and criticism's

A criticism of the Auteur theory could be that the Auteur (artist) may be influenced more by the work of their peers rather than their own creativity.

because i am planning to create a documentary in my group about the history of video games i believe we would be able elaborate in certain areas.

Auteur Theory

The Autuer theory is when a director of a film is seen as an artist (an Aututer) rather than a craftsman (metteur-en-scene).
an Auteur maintains consistency of style and theme even though they work with different writers, actors and producers.
However with all theorys the Auteur theory has many criticism's amd problems with it.

Will's MS3 Investigation

My initial ideas for my investigation were either to create a documentary or a radio programme based around video games.
gaming is something that interests me and i feel i could do well investigating more into games as it is something i enjoy.
I have thought about creating a documentary about the development of games through the years and how they have changed up untill now.
